In-Home Training
K9 Pinnacle’s In-Home Training Program offers quality one-on-one dog training at the convenience of your own home. We begin with an evaluation of your dog to determine the best course of training. To help meet your goals, our trainers will work on basic obedience along with correcting unwanted behaviors including;
- Jumping
- Pulling on the leash
- Digging
- Counter surfing
- Potty training
- Barking
- Aggression
- Resource guarding
- Begging
- Crate training

K9 Pinnacle’s In-Home Training Program will help you reach the desired level of training, whether it be basic, off leash or competition obedience. This program is suitable for all ages, breeds and temperaments.
Classes
*K9 Pinnacle’s group classes are temporarily being put on hold due to the ongoing issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we are offering private one on one lessons with one of our experienced trainers. Upon re-opening, we will transition back to offering 3 different classes to accommodate you and your dog’s desired level of training.
Puppy Preschool:
Adding a new puppy to your family is an amazing experience but can come with it’s challenges. Our experienced trainers know just how to handle the situation. We will work with you and your puppy to ensure the start of your long lasting companionship is heading down the right path. Examples of exercises include;
- Handling exercises
- “Come” command
- Potty Training
- Mouthing/Biting
- Basic First Aid
- Grooming
- Socialization with puppies and objects
This program is designed for puppies 8 weeks to 5 months.
Basic Obedience Class:
Every dog can benefit from basic obedience classes whether it’s to fix minor behavioral issues or to make your life easier during your day to day routine. Here at K9 Pinnacle, we strive to ensure your training sessions are completed with in depth hands on training in a non rushed environment so you and your dog receive the best guidance possible. Examples of exercises include;
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Come
- Heel
- Place
Upon completion of basic obedience, we will present you with a certificate of completion through K9 Pinnacle. We will also administer the AKC Good Canine Citizen test as part of our program. Once passed and basic obedience is completed, your dog will be allowed to graduate into Advanced obedience if you desire to take your dog to newer heights. This program is designed for dogs 5 months and older.
Advanced Obedience Class:
Our advanced training is focused for those who desire to get the most out of their furry companions. This program is a continuation of basic obedience and will increase the distance and duration of commands off leash. These classes will allow for advanced individualized goals as well as competition obedience and hand signaling.
Board & Train (2 & 4 Week Programs)
*At this time, K9 Pinnacle will not be accepting new clients to enroll in our Board and Train programs. We are in the process of relocating our facility with a goal to re-open at the end of Summer. Please ask us about our other training programs and how we can best assist you. Thanks for your patience and support!
These programs will address basic obedience, behavioral issues and teaching general manners. They will also receive socialization and training in the community around humans and other dogs. They will learn to focus on you and not become overwhelmed by environmental stimuli. To best transition your dogs training to your home and family, we include lessons and classes as part of the package. Our 2 week program will include a final go home lesson, 1 private lesson and enrollment into our Basic Obedience Class. The 4 week program includes a final go home lesson, 3 private lessons and entitled to Advanced Obedience Classes for the rest of the dogs life.
Service Dog Program
Full service dog program for legitimate medical needs. We train dogs to assist with mobility, Autism, Dysautonomia, PTSD, medical alert, psychiatric and more. Owners will be required to obtain their own dog. An evaluation and temperament test will be administered to determine if the owner’s current dog is adequate. If you are searching for a great service dog candidate, we can also assist you. Minimum six month program that includes owner training and lifetime support of the dog.
Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC)
The Canine Good Citizen Test was designed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to evaluate a dog’s behavior in our communities. When a dog passes this test, they have demonstrated some basic obedience and polite manners in society. This test is also a foundation in pursuing any higher obedience levels such as therapy work and several dog sports. We offer this test for any dog owner regardless if they have participated in one of our training programs or not. By appointment only.
